Poetry Friday: A Trinet for the Heart

It’s Poetry Friday! Carol has the roundup today at Beyond Literacy Link where she offers a collection of vintage postcards and the small poems they inspired her to write. Be sure to stop by for her celebration of love and lots more poetry goodness.

Because this is the first Friday in February, I’m contemplating my OLW light and celebrating “the light of home and family where we find the love and shelter that sustain us.”

A Trinet for the Heart

my heart
nestles, nurtures
the memory of people and places
the wonder of sun and stars
with light
with hope
with love

May your month be filled with light and love!

Well, to repeat, Rose, I love the idea of “nestles” and “nurtures’, too, always in the light. We’ve been needing a lot! Best wishes for finding plenty of light this weekend for you and yours!

  7. Appreciations for bringing a new form to me. The trinet sounds like something I’d use at the shore 🙂

But in with your loving theme, a warm glow envelopes me, reading it feeling close in heart to Family.

“with light/with hope/with love” brings tears to me eyes, Rose! That’s the very best of ways to end the poem and to encourage us readers. Thank you.

Rose, I like the idea that our little human hearts might offer cozy nurture to the giant far-off sun and stars–as they do for us! Let them be part of our home and family, I say!

Rose, “A Trinet for the Heart” is a beautiful, tender poem, that speaks of love. Thank you offer for offering your poem for the Heartnotes Padlet? It was a sweet surprise to open the padlet and find the surprise you left.
